Merit Points How it works
Dogs are awarded points based on the work they have done.
*Terriers must be on American Soil and worked American quarry to obtain any of the following points.
*Work must be done 100% alone*
*All Patterdale Types will receive credit for the proof of their work. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER YOUR DOG TO GET MERIT POINTS*

How dogs earn points
TRAVEL- Terriers will receive .5 (half a point) for each state they work in and 1 (one) point for each country they work in
RACCOONS- 1 (one) point for the first 10 raccoons worked IN THE GROUND .5 (half) a point for each remaining set of 10 after the first set. Terriers can also earn .5 (Half) a point for working 10 raccoons above ground. However a terrier not gain more points for above ground work.
GROUNDHOG-1 (one) point for first 10 Ground hogs worked .5 (half) a point for each set of 10 worked after this. Point will never be awarded for any work done above ground with a groundhog

FOX- 1 point for first 10 worked .5 (Half) point for each 10 after. All fox work must be done in the ground.
AMERICAN BADGER- 1.5 points (one and a half) for the first one worked in the ground. And .5 (half) a point for each set of two worked in the ground after the first. Terriers can receive .5 (half) a point for working 4 above ground. But can not receive more points for above ground work
UK BADGER- 1.5 points for the first 2 worked and .5 (half) a point for each set of 2 after the first set. DOGS UST BE ON AMERICAN SOIL and obtained points through American game to receive points for game not worked in America
APTA Wittnessed- While all work mentioned above can be documented through videos, dogs that have worked in front of a APTA Certified Judge will receive 1pt. and given higher placing should they tie for points with another dog that's never worked in front of a APTA Judge
